Sanuki City - Kagawa Part4

I enjoyed a little sightseeing in Takamatsu City. I went to Tamamo Park, a short walk from the ferry terminal. Here you can see Takamatsu Castle, also known as Tamamo Castle.

Matsushima town - Miyagi Part1

October is the beginning of autumn. I had been planning to go on a trip to Miyagi Prefecture for some time.

Miyagi prefecture's ambassadorial Pokémon is Lapras.
Each city, town or village can negotiate on its own to locate its own pokefuta.
However, if the prefecture sets a ambassadorial Pokémon, pokefutas with that Pokémon on them will be placed throughout the municipalities under the prefecture.
It is very hard to complete everything, but It will be challenging.

This year is the 150th anniversary of the JR(Japan railway), and I took advantage of the JR East unlimited ride pass in the campaign.

The Shinkansen was almost full.
Arrived in Sendai in the morning and went to see the pokefuta in Matsushima until the hotel check-in time.

The pokefuta was located in a park facing the sea, right next to the station.
Lapras' shadow seen from a Japanese-style bridge is cool...!

I had not been to the coastal areas since the earthquake, but it was a beautiful day in Matsushima, and the stores grilling oysters and tourists seeking oysters were very crowded.
It's good to see the city coming back to life.

Zuiganji Temple

There were signs that the tsunami had come this far.
I was surprised that the tsunami stopped just before the temple gate.
People in the past were amazing.

On the way back to Sendai, I got off the Senseki Line and went to a pokefuta in Shiogama.

I walked around until the next train, but Shiogama is more of a fishing port town than a tourist town. There were a few stores at the Marine Gate Shiogama facility.
I was impressed by a very long pedestrian crossing, perhaps as an evacuation shelter from the tsunami.

It was just dusk when we arrived in Sendai.
My legs were tired, so I lingered at the hotel and went on to the second half...
