Sanuki City - Kagawa Part4

I enjoyed a little sightseeing in Takamatsu City. I went to Tamamo Park, a short walk from the ferry terminal. Here you can see Takamatsu Castle, also known as Tamamo Castle.

Shodoshima, Tonosho Town - Kagawa Part2

One night after landing in Shikoku for the first time,

this day, I was going to Shodoshima.

Shodoshima is an island in the Seto Inland Sea, famous for its olive groves.
The two pokefutas on Shodoshima were my goal, but I was dying to get on the Slowpoke Ferry!

While there is one ferry every hour from Takamatsu to Shodoshima, the Slowpoke ferry only runs once every three hours.

If you want to take the Slowpoke ferry, you'd better check the operation schedule at the ticket office.

I boarded the first Slowpoke ferry of the day departing at 8:02.

Slowpoke greeted me from the entrance!

The view from the deck was too nice!
The casual Slowpoke bench is also nice. The tables are also Pokemon-specific, and I wanted to take a picture, but there were always people sitting there 😜😜.

Lots of Slowpoke💕💕💕

After arriving at the port of Tonosho on Shodoshima, rent a bicycle and start the Pokefuta Tour!

The purpose of the tour was to see the pokefuta, but there were so many interesting and scenic places. It was great to pedal my bike and see the sights.

Yokai museum

https://yokai-museum.note.jp/

This museum exhibits various Japanese yokai objects and dolls.
The arts of yokai were frighteningly displayed in a sensory building made of about four old houses.
My personal favorite taste. I'd love to come back and take a closer look!

After another five minutes by bicycle, I saw a magnificent temple.

I realized that Kagawa is a part of Shikoku Island, so a pilgrimage to 88 temples is famous.
This is the 58th temple, Saiko-ji.

Entering the path behind this temple, we see Oji Shrine. The pokefuta of Tonosho town was here.

The Oji Shrine has benches and other facilities for resting in front of the community center across the street, so I was able to leave my bicycle and take my time taking pictures.

This Pokefuta shows a cute Slowpoke looking slightly uncomfortable at Ditto's transformed Slowpoke .

Now, the next step was to go for a pokefuta in Shodoshima Town.

It should take less than an hour to arrive if you don't take a detour by bicycle from Tonosho port.
I straddled the bicycle again and drove along the seaside road.

I was somehow very attracted to this scenery along the way.
The weather was beautiful and the view was great.

There were olive stores along the way, too many temptations...!
Pokefuta in Shodoshima Town is located at a roadside station called Shodoshima Furusato-mura.
Frequent road signs give directions, so it is very helpful not to get lost.

I recommend renting an electric bicycle as there are many hills.

Arrival at Furusato-mura!

The pokefuta was at a stone wall overlooking the ocean.

The tranquil scenery and the laid-back atmosphere of Slowpoke go very well together.
At Furusato mura, I bought olive oil and hand-pulled somen noodles, which are probably a specialty of the village.
Next to the cash register, there were also pokefuta goods for sale, so of course I bought them!

Lunch had not yet been served, so I tried some fresh somen noodles at the cafeteria.

Firm and delicious!
Kagawa's noodles are firm, slippery and delicious, as are its udon noodles!

Needless to say, I consumed a lot of gluten since I ate udon and somen noodles as much as I could here in Kagawa. lol
Good food is a sin...😝😝

I thought I would be able to finish the tour in the morning, but I stayed longer than I expected on Shodoshima Island, which is full of attractions, and the return ferry was in the afternoon.

Slowpoke's photo sticker machine😂

I had a blast on the ferry ride home.

Takamatsu City - Kagawa Part1

In October, I went to Kagawa Prefecture, famous for its udon noodles. It was my first time here, but it was conveniently close to Takamatsu Airport and the city center. I found Slowpoke bus!

Matsushima town - Miyagi Part1

October is the beginning of autumn. I had been planning to go on a trip to Miyagi Prefecture for some time.  Miyagi prefecture's ambassadorial Pokémon is Lapras. Each city, town or village can negotiate on its own to locate its own pokefuta. However, if the prefecture sets a ambassadorial Pokémon, pokefutas with that Pokémon on them will be placed throughout the municipalities under the prefecture. It is very hard to complete everything, but It will be challenging.
